# Ask Co-Pilot

> Ask questions about the numbers in front of you, in plain language, and know when it cannot answer.

Co-Pilot answers questions about the numbers in front of you, in plain language. Open it from **Co-Pilot** in the top right of any screen. It opens beside your page rather than replacing it, so you can check its answer against the figures.

## The three tabs

* **Suggestions**: questions worth asking about what is on screen.
* **Ask**: type your own, such as `Explain why travel & entertainment is high` or `Summarise the performance of H1`. Answers come back as key takeaways, with the most important action called out at the end.
* **Support**: help with Kompass itself, including these guides.

Use **New thread** to start a fresh conversation when you move to a different question.

> **It will tell you what it cannot answer.** Where the data does not support a conclusion, such as a failed sync or a period with no actuals, Co-Pilot says so and names the fix rather than estimating around it. That is the difference between an answer you can take to a board and one you cannot.
